A special programme for the children of SMILE held in June focused on the stories of this year’s winners of the government’s Bravery Awards for children. The extraordinary stories of ordinary people such as Mamata Dalai, Vijay Nishant, Somyadeep, Tushar Verma and Kanti, among this year’s winners, were narrated by other children themselves.
The main objective of this programme was to inspire children and encourage them to become alert and helpful citizens. It was conducted at BKM Hall with participation of nearly 25 students. Each of the speakers was rewarded with a medal to demonstrate live how the winners are felicitated for their acts of bravery.
